can you tell me what makes the " HOMELAND DEFENDER" version SPECIAL in ANY WAY from the bone stock Taurus 1911?? thank you.

As far as I can tell the "Homeland Defender" version sports shiny, smooth bluing on every part. It also has a 'special' shield marking on the slide that says "Homeland Defender".
Other than that, I think it is the very same thing.
