Doesn't make it a good law. Again, they seem more keen on going after the common gun owner than true criminals. Hope you understand the difference.because its a law
I dont really care and whether its a good law is immaterial. . I just need to know what I have to do to stay out of jail and if theres anyone on this forum that skirts the limits its me. Ive known many people, like more than you'd think reasonable, who have gone to jail on NFA charges, not one of them didn't regret their decisions.Doesn't make it a good law. Even if we think that justice was served here somehow, I'm looking at the broad scope of what the ATF does with its power. Going back and forth on pistol braces or bump stocks and drawing it out in court is being a wasteful agency. It's hard to believe that they haven't been defunded and abolished with the number of times they've been on the wrong side of history so-to-speak.I dont really care . Were they? Are braces something other than floppy buttstocks? Bump stocks? That was a political decision by the President at the time. They did what they were told. Fat lady hasn't sung on pistol braces so dont get too comfortable. The same people saying federal district judges shouldn't have the power to force national injunctions are saying that federal district judges should have the authority to force national injunctions. Its about to hit SCOTUS whether they do and if that come in favor of the administration its going to kill the brace injunction.Even if we think that justice was served here somehow, I'm looking at the broad scope of what the ATF does with its power. Nobody is getting comfortable. Okay let's call them buttstocks. With all of those scary SBRs out there, has the murder rate increased? Is it anything more than a ploy to come after 2A hobbyists because the government is scared of the people being armed? The bump stock ban led to Chevron deference and the ATF got a taste of the extra power from getting to play quarterback. Now everything has side-stepped going through Congress and the whole anti-gun activist community has been using the momentum to run these bills though the states. I don't know what you deal with over there in South Carolina but here in Oregon (and WA) it's become quite a problem. Were they? Are braces something other than floppy buttstocks? Bump stocks? Which is why I dont live in Washington any more. The west coast is a lost cause. Like I said I dont care about why or anything like that. Not my problem. I just need to know how. to stay on the right side of the law. I pay my taxes and fill out my paperwork.Nobody is getting comfortable. Okay let's call them buttstocks. While I agree with you on it being a lost cause, especially in the short run, I also wouldn't get too comfortable over there because the East Coast plays an ugly game too. You've got a lot more states over there but oh man NY, NJ, MA, CT, MD.... they're already on the bandwagon.Which is why I dont live in Washington any more. The west coast is a lost cause. Not the south my friend. While I agree with you on it being a lost cause, especially in the short run, I also wouldn't get too comfortable over there because the East Coast plays an ugly game too. The treatment of citizens as subjects and the fear the government has of people being armed always makes me wonder what they plan to do to people that they might rightfully be shot for? History books are always a good place to start.
THIS! There is probably not a "gun law" I agree with but, that does not make them change. Those who blatantly cross the line and get in trouble of course NEVER go off saying they are glad they did. They scream for others to bail them out. Fighting the stupid laws is great. NO ONE is fighting the laws by just pretending they do not apply to them. They "may" get away with it but, they are taking a risk. When they get in a jam they are NEVER going to go down saying it was a good idea.I dont really care and whether its a good law is immaterial. .
