I've got a 642 that's my 'go to the store / gas station / wherever' carry. I drop it into an Uncle Mike's pocket liner and into the front pocket of my jeans. Earlier comments are spot on; no, I wouldn't want to put a K through it in one sitting, but 50-100 is not an issue. Mine went back to Cylinder and Slide for a tune up, came back smoooooth and is great for my application. For ammo, I like the Speer Gold Dot for short barrels:
