Yeah they are kinda expensive but its the only local place i know of that sells steel ak surplus mags

I couldn't find any locally either. I wound up buying online from Cheaperthandirt.com, Wideners, and also AIM Surplus. Roughly $10-$12 ea, Eastern Block surplus steel mags, works perfectly w/ my rifle.

I just found and bought 7 mags off of craigslist, all for $60! They are like new too!

i'd like to revive this thread. can anybody provide up to date information about where one can purchase AK magazines in the portland metro area? preferably, steel AK mags.

Subscribing as well - although not in PDX, staying current on good steel surplus AK mags would be good.
