I would like to swap from Glock over to the Walther PDP. I'm just too invested in the Glock platform to make the switch to anything else. Holsters, mags, slide modifications, etc. I would loose my a$$ if I sold everything and swapped platforms.I"m popping this thread back around for those who might be interested. With the Glocks being discontinued, for those that want a 19 size pistol, as I stated earlier, IMHO this is what the G19 should have evolved into! In light of the recent Glock decision, I still had no issues letting mine go because as long as I have the Echelon, I would not be shooing the 19. As is with all things, YMMV and your opinions might differ. Either way, the Springfield Echellon 4.0c is a great option.![]()
I tried the pdp and it left me wanting. It's the most boring gun that tries to be a high speed cool guy gun I've ever shot. Every time I try something different, I end right back up at Glock, probably same for you.I would like to swap from Glock over to the Walther PDP. The whole Glock thing doesn't bother me. They will still be producing G19s. They are still making parts for the old ones. And there are so many out in circulation that you'll be able to get the older models for quite some time.
The echelon is nice though and hear good things about it.
Yup. I've done the move multiple times and always return to Glock. Which is why when the new trends come out or a new gun is released I don't even entertain it anymore. I just keep buying Glocks. There is nothing out there that does everything the Glock does for me.I tried the pdp and it left me wanting. It's the most boring gun that tries to be a high speed cool guy gun I've ever shot. I get all that and was the same way for a spell. Once I got my hands on the Echelon though, my mind was changed! The grip module was pretty much the deciding factor after all the video reviews that were favorable too. I know everyone is different and what works for some, will not always work for others. Thank goodness for lots of options these days!Yup. I've done the move multiple times and always return to Glock. No joke! We have so many options it's almost too much at times. Haha.I get all that and was the same way for a spell. Once I got my hands on the Echelon though, my mind was changed!
