It'd be interesting if FAA through Congress, classified drones as being subject to Rule 103, which would mean that "drone operators= pilots"Got it! And I considered this later having SOME knowledge of these laws.
There's also a claim of battery capacity, which makes me think more "ducted fan" system. Hypothetically a fan system would bring more usable thrust than pure jet system, but the issue is again, the weight of the batteries vs liquid fuel. And there is a liquid fuel jet engine that's 40 pounds dry weight with a thrust of 250 pounds https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PBS_TJ100OK lets say the riders are them skinny plant eating hippy types they gotta weigh at least 150 with the Helmet and gear on. So right off we need more then 150lbs trust. NOW if this uses a petroleum based fuel we are looking at 6-6.5lbs a gallon. Lets assume a 5 gallon tank that another 30-33lbs The video states that the thing weighs 1/7th of a regular Sport Bike if we take the weight of a Honda CBR600rr at 440lbs divide by 7 we get 62lbs so now we are up to requiring MORE then 245lbs of trust to just get off the ground. If the trust is angled to the rear to create forward motion that lifting trust is divided. So I'm going to take a WILD guess and say it takes 50lbs of trust to get the thing to move the 120mph the video claims then it has to have almost 300 lbs of trust.
There are engine that will do this I can't seam to find a price but a 50lb trust model airplane turbine jet will run you around $5 grand
