UHhhhh .. We have Atmosphere .. Also can't find/see majority of strikes because water covers 75+% of earth surface.

Scientists estimate that Earth is hit by about 6100 meteors large enough to reach the ground each year. This works out to about 17 meteorites hitting Earth every day! Most of these meteorites fall on the ocean or in unpopulated areas and go unnoticed. In addition, Earth is bombarded with more than 100 tons of dust and sand-sized particles every day. Thankfully, impacts with objects that are large enough to cause destruction are much more rare.

Those shooting stars you see on clear nights? Meteors/meteoroids burning up in atmosphere.

Also, the Moon's orbit put it in a way that the Moon will intercept a lot of meteors/asteroids, thereby protecting the Earth from some extinction level impacts.

There is a hypothesis that a Mars sized object impacted the Earth at one point long before life evolved, thus leaving significant material in the core, explaining why there's a mass of dense material inside the magma/lava that's not the core itself, and the debris formed into the Moon that we know of, 4.5 billion years ago

But hypothetically ( aka: science guessing again ) I dont think science actually knows what earths core is made of, and even fully understands Gravity and even in agreement if the Earths core center is at zero gravity or at it highest gravitational attraction. It all part of the Black Arts Science of.. ''Dark Matter ' with Gravity holding of all that is time and space together. ( me ) .. All I really want to know from science before I die is, when will my Anti gravity hover board, and Jet Pack be available for purchase off Amazon.

Well, they've been able to get readings from devices measuring the depth and mass and so on... So id say that they are in fact saying yes there are masses in the magma that cannot be explained by just Earth's materials/tectonic plates... Or just formation without giant impacts..
