Hey guys and gals. I know that the 23rd is also a NWFA clean up at the Mt Hood shooting areas, but yesterday I met with the Department of Forestry and after our chat about shooting lanes within the Tillamook Forest, we discussed te upcoming clean up and volunteer efforts.

With that said, Saturday April 23rd at 9:00am is SOLVE day. It is a basically a Forest clean up day. It is not a shooting lane clean up so there are going to be folks of all sorts of backgrounds there. With that being what it is they will be separating and cleaning up a large portion of Brown's Camp and Story Burn Road. Which both have many shooting areas.

I am not trying to take away from the Mt. Hood clean up, I am heading to that clean up myself. However, if you see the Mt. Hood effort as too far away, or did not plan on going, but still want to help in some way, this may be a good opportunity to mingle amongst the "other" crowd to represent gun owners and shooters.

They are going to start the day at the gravel pit on the side of highway 6 at 9:00 to hand out bags and sign ups.

Thanks!

Good thought, Reno. It's a good way for us to show responsibility and partnership with other recreation groups. It seems, most of the cleanup work on Earth day is done at shooting sites.

Time to show some team spirit!
