This rifle can have its fixed 10rd mag taken out to take removable mags with the bolt open, and can be modified to take SKS Duckbill mags with the bolt closed quite easily.
You will run into 922r compliance issues, but if you are interested in changing the mag, you will probably be in the mood to swap the stock and an internal component or two to make it all work.

Are these C&R?

Norinco SKS's (any chinese SKS for that matter) are not C&R. It's a stupid law but the ATF says basicly that because China will not release manufacture date records it cannot be proved how old any particuler Chinese SKS is. It's been said that the law was imposed to stem the massive flow of Chinese import SKS's. Also a certain American firearms company was loosing tons of money to the cheap chinese import so Bill Ruger helped sponser the bill. Thanks Bill:complain:
