Rock River 14.5" chromoly barrel with permanently attached Smith Vortex flash hider. It is a 1:9 twist with carbine length gas system.
Barrel started as a 16" heavy barrel that was shortened to 14.5" and turned down to a lower profile, but left thicker than than a standard gov't profile barrel. The Smith Vortex flash hider has been pinned and welded and looks very clean. The following picture of the weld had to be illuminated with a flashlight to show in the picture.
I do not know how many rounds have been fired through the barrel. I am the original owner of this barrel, and would estimate 2,000. All rounds were American Eagle xm193 and PMC Bronze .223.
