Got a good 5 inches of the white stuff, here in Bonney Lake.

It sure is nice to just stay inside all day.

I used to work for Les Schwab and dreaded this stuff, now I get to choose if I want to work! I know what you mean about being nice to stay in if you want.

I wish Subaru would put in their commercials and dealerships he following:

"4x4, AWD means you can go, it doesn't mean you can stop... triple your following distances and give plenty of time to slow down."

"AWD doesn't mean all wheel stop"

ABS also doesn't mean it'll stop for your dumbarsery. Ditto for "traction control" if you're gonna be an idiot and put "all seasons" thats more "2 to 3 seasons"

Buzz kill!

In all seriousness, I agree. Growing up in Reno, we didn't have lots of Subarus like the PNW, we had huge trucks. Everyone had one. They got great traction sure, but their weight was their enemy. Things slid forever and where always featured on the news for a car incident come snowy weather.

Everyone be safe out there if you can't bunker down with a cup of hot (drink of your choice)!

Just to join in the fun :) Here on our Coastal mountain we have 3" of snow on the back deck. Our Bernedoodle pup, one year birthday tomorrow, loves the snow. He thinks he is a Husky LOL! Only one issue up here. Wifey was coming home at just passed 6am after working two 16 hour night shifts. Her Prius with studded snow tires just couldn't make it up our hill. Fired up the 4WD Tacoma and got her home. The Prius had to waitabit until we could go dig it out and get it home. Alls well that ended well. Sitting now inside after a big breakfast looking at the snow scenery. Our Best to everyone ...

Prepping for the kids second day of snow fun.

Giving yourself lots of time when it is icy / snowy is always a good idea.
I have a 4x4 truck...but I also know the wisdom of my father is true...
"Son , four wheel drive is to get you out of trouble , not into it."
Andy
"You better learn to drive kid, or that lift kit is just gonna get you stuck further from the trailhead."
