Snider breech-lock conversion, 1862 MkII**, marked DC as Canadian issued rifle. 2-band, 30" barrel of the Sergeant's rifle. No ramrod. Wood damage on reverse of lock as shown. Missing screw on trigger guard. Good bore and action functions smoothly. Metal discoloration and pitting. Antique rifle, so it does not require an FFL for transfer.

A neat and good looking rifle....Good luck with your sale.

As a side note...the "damage" seen on the lock bolt side....is often seen on muzzleoading and other outside hammer firearms.
When placed in a gun rack , the hammer and or lock , of the gun next to another gun would rub or ding the other gun's stock in the rack.

Please note that I am not "thread crapping"...just trying to point out that wear at that place in the stock is common , and to me not a sign of present day abuse , neglect , or that uncommon of a "ding".
Nor would it stop me from buying this rifle.
