Good point. I simply ignore the stupid lock on our Smiths, but I can't deny I'd rather them not be there.
Can't say the lock has ever stopped me from buying a Smith revolver. However if they had a model with and a model without, I'd certainly go with the lock free model with all else being equal

As soon as Biden wins, gun shares will double in value.
Heck, nothing is selling here unless is a real bargain. I think a lot of people are feeling the pain of inflation. I bought a sheet of 5/8" T-111 AC plywood a couple days ago. I suspected it would be expensive but damn, $133.00!

They'll panic. Always do. Even if they have to turn the couch upside down and shake out the pennies, they'll find a way to buy another gun.

Smith and Wesson QC is in the toilet as of now.

The useless lock has 2 issues I've seen;

1 - They can engage while shooting calibers with heavier recoil

2 - The hammers are cut, which lightens their weight. This makes it difficult to get a good trigger job done, as they are more prone to light strikes...less weight changes the force needed to get consistent primer strikes.

I doubt it as truthfully I'm pretty sure even deep state is sick of biden and trump 2024 is not the 2016 version, plus everyone is hurting so bad economically. I have a friend selling 4 russian bakelites and a romanian drum for 450 shipped and hasent had any hits on tac swap even though 6 months ago that's like 550 or 600 easy. Even gb auctions are going lower than they used to. People don't have the money so even if biden won panic buying is not going to be as deep as before.

If Biden wins there will be a huge buying panic. Gunmaker's profits will soar. But maybe not the stock prices. If Biden wins there will not be many customers left to sell to. The liberal state democrats will interpret this as a mandate and there will be a tsunami of restrictive gun laws, drastically reducing the number of gun-buying customers, and guns sold.

The ammo manufacturers on the other hand will do very well for a long time.

S&W stock has never gone above $31 per share. Right now they're at $16.40. They could (probably will) spike during the election, but you'd only make money if you sold out at the right time, because after every spike their stock plummets almost immediately.

there was a guy, either on FB or Reddit (I forget which), who built a small ad-hoc a-frame shelter and bought used/recycled solar panels (that still worked) for the roof instead of plywood, because the solar panels were cheaper than the plywood would have been.

Yes. That's the idea.

Also, their shares are at $14.10 as of 21:21 on 6/21/24
