I carry one of these all day, everyday. After you stash it, you can immediately forget its there. This is one sweet carry piece and 400 is great price. Most comfortable pistol I ever concealed. Someone should snag this up, good luck!!

I forget...could the model 12's take +P ammo on a steady diet ?

Some say yes, but most say no. There is a couple guys on the S&W forum that put 1000 or 2000 rounds of +p through their model 12 and say that the gun is not any looser. If it were me I would shoot standard ammo all the time, and possibly just use +p for carry. I also would use something like Speer 135gr +p Gold Dot HP for short barreled guns.

FWIW I love my model 12-3!! Great carry gun thats no longer made.

I have put plenty of +p through mine without a hitch. I also strickly carry with +p. When range shooting I shoot standard, the a few wheels of +p just to keep my muscle memory comfortable.

I use standard hand loads, +p hand loads, and carry Hornady +P 110gr FTX
