It looks like it was cut for the DPP with the rear sight attachment. Which would make sense if the rear sight is absent when the cover plate is taken off.
Been watching some videos and I think the exact same thing. I'll have to do some research into how it all goes together- does the DPP have its own mounting plate separate from the standard Glock ones? (I'm very new to optics, if you couldn't tell haha)
If you got the MOS plates with it one of them should be for the DPP.
It came with the standard Glock plates, but when I tried to put them on none of them fit due to the four pegs
Those plates won't work because it's been milled for a direct mount with a specific footprint.
Gotcha! I think that makes sense now. So now I just need to figure out which DPP footprint it was meant for.
@VinnieBoomBah listed a good resource. If you have calipers you could get measurements and match them to the schematics.

I am going to guess all the DPP are the same footprint. As mentioned above, looks like it was milled for the rear sight attachment but it would work without that attachment.
