Thanks for sharing the video. Now, I have to watch it again with my wife. It did inspire me to attack my reloading bench. (Need to make room for brass and powder arriving today and tomorrow…. )

That was almost painful. Dealing with my mom's passing last year and the "stuff" that had to be gone through was at times overwhelming, even though she had done a decent job of de-cluttering. If my wife and I were to step in front of a truck, my son would face a Herculean task.

But that didn't stop me from ordering some more brass from Brownells this morning. How often do you see .222 Remington Magnum brass on sale?

DON'T JUDGE ME! :p

Not very often. You buy it for the here and now, without care about someone else's inconvenience in the future. If after you're gone and they don't want to deal with it, they can just throw it away. It's their choice to make a problem out of it.

Switched to a 64 gallon weekly trash service, vs the standard 32 gallon bin.
Nineteen months in and I have filled it full every week.

That's all I need...

I have a lot of stuff but I use it all as I need it or want to.

My kid way down the line will just have to decide what she wants or doesn't want.

My dad passed last September and my moms in more of a financial mess then we realized as well as while going thru things, I constantly hear, "Well that's where that ended up!".

She has a good idea of putting names on masking tape for my brother and I for when she passes but I doubt it will all be in order and my brother and I have very different taste so we have talked and do not see fighting over anything as being an issue.

I would like some grandkids down the road because I do not want to leave my knifes and firearms to my daughter who really would rather not have them.

If I pop off my wife knows enough of my friends that could help sell my toys for what they are worth and give her some extra to retire on but I'm a grumpy not so old coot and plan to make it to 130 so I have a long way to go before I'll seriously downgrade.

Been going through this with my parents...my Mom is the "emotionally attached to stuff" type. Yes Mom, I get that the end table was grandmas...no, I dont want it..."stuff does not equal person". My brother is on the same page as me...neither of us is interested in packing a uhaul to move stuff thousands of miles to get rid of or put in storage. They arent hoarders by any means, but 2 of them in a 2500sqft house for 20 years...you get the idea. Been working on getting them to downsize, they are dealing with too many health issues to try and keep up the space. Heck, my dad hasnt driven in 5+ years, but they still have his truck that gets registered and insured for nothing...🙄

The amazing wisdom of JP strikes again. All of that talk resonated as I think back five years ago this month when I had to go through all of my brother's 'life,' from 45-year-old magazines (not the gun type) that reminded him of something to items from vehicles that he had not owned in decades. That 15 minutes of audio will help me with filling the rubbish bin and making needed donations.
