Gen 5 full size barrel lug pattern changed. I have read the Gen 5 barrels now share the same barrel lugs across the full size, compact and sub compact lines.

If that is true, how can a Gen 5 Glock 19 use the same barrel as Gen 1 through 4?

My understanding is that the Gen 5 full size (G17, G22 etc) now share the same lug pattern as the earlier Gen compact and subcompact models. The Gen 5 compact and subcompacts lugs haven't changed.
