When Keith's had P220 Police trade ins for $500 I picked one up, got a 225 as well, both W German.
Been a solid shooter so far.
Unknown round count when it started needing a tap to go into battery when it was cold out.
Replaced the springs and rebuilt the hammer system with the E2 system using a Sig Armorer Superstrut.

Sig has come out with the classic line of the 226

Not quite…
Yes got it the internals are not the same and the P245 is DA/SA while the P220 compact is SAO but they are the same size and use the same mags and can use full size P220 mags albeit hanging out but still work

Good info, one correction: the p220 compact uses full size mags

Apparently this feed got moved and I haven't relayed anymore comments since making my purchase. After seeing the video of the option of staking out the grip safety I elected to take a chance and bought another 1911, this is the Sig Nightmare carry fastback . I haven't as of yet shot it partially due to the fact that I'm trying to get all of last firearms on my list prior to that stupid Oregon restriction going into effect and secondly I purchased a Kramer leather holster and it had not arrived yet. Honestly this 1911 feels really good in my hand and I decided while it's still possible to purchase another 1911 buildable receiver from Caspian arms. This will in fact be my first attempt at creating a 1911 from components. Hopefully it goes well
