All I want to know is why this isn't happening with any other model from any other brand. If it really was a training/holster issue, Glocks, M&Ps, HKs and whatever else gets issued would also be having the same problems. They aren't, so the only thing I can conclude is that the gun is the problem for one reason or another, even if that problem is being especially prone to idiots mishandling it.
No. It's because SIG is the medias punching bag and you're an anti gun grifter adding on to that narrative. Duh.

I have the exact same perspective as you. And I don't buy into the thought process that only the P320 gets media attention while they turn a blind eye to every other manufacturer. Cause that makes zero sense. Especially if every other manufacturer has the exact same issues at the same rate. If it's the "anti gun" media they would be exposing and coming after every brand and manufacturer they could.

I find these discussions on P-320s are a type of entertainment, like watching two groups of protesters screaming back and forth at each other from opposing street corners...
I recently noticed something new at the shooting range where I am a member, a sign posted that Sig P-320s are not allowed on the range until further notice. This range is predominately for law enforcement officers near Seattle, but it allows civilian membership. I imagine this may be related to the ban at other ranges in the state serving law enforcement officers.

So you're asking the department to prove their investigation is true?
Yea… Kinda like you're asking every P320 denier to prove their event happened the way they described.

I'm supposed to believe the same people who you claim to be liars… covering up NDs to keep their jobs?

That happened awhile ago. There a multiple ranges that no longer allow the P320 to be shot on their premises. My father in law owns a security company and trains/quals up in Washington and Oregon and he has gotten that email from a few ranges.

Some departments pushing back on the CJTC diversity hire director's action of "banning" the 320 after one cadet had an alleged uncommanded discharge at the range.
Not sure why you felt the need to point out the person who made the decision was a "diversity hire"...
I am very skeptical that you would have included that bit of information if the same director had made a ruling that you agreed with...

It is. The interwebs are filled with videos of guns being mishandled, of all types, going off. I posted the example of NYPD negligent discharges annually. They issue Glocks, and until recently, with heavy triggers. But they are still going bang when they are not supposed to. Why aren't these Glock's fault? (Maybe the same reason that others are not Sig's fault perhaps?)
I wouldn't mind it. Police corruption isn't unheard of.
Critical thinking would indicate that there would be no reason for them to lie; it actually goes against their best interest since they ended up switching guns anyway. I acknowledge that some individuals may lie about NDs and their actions, including officers. They should be held accountable. But it's much harder for an entire department to fabricate something like this, again, especially since it goes against their best interest.

Mishandled yes. People are retarded.

Going off in duty holsters while being untouched. Not so much.

Nope. My last department had two instances (that I know of) where our newly issued pistols "went off" in holsters... both cases, drawstrings from jackets or other outergarments with little plastic doodads on the ends migrated into the holsters. Way more common than those that don't carry firearms for a living would know.,

Take a pair of handcuffs and run it past the trigger in a duty holster. I'll wait.

Oh and they're the ones that "claimed" that. So it's on them to prove it.

Here's the holster.

Looking at that holster, I find it difficult to believe that you could pull a Sig320 out of it safely. I looks like you would need a special tool.

I am a simple holster fan. Leather or the like, covering all of the trigger guard, and locking in place. What I mean by locking in place is a definite click when the gun is safely in the holster, with no buttons to push and depending on the firearm, no strap over the top. I want quick unimpeded access to my gun.

I do like a strap for a 1911 or my EAA Witness Steel Compact that is carried with the hammer back. Thin strap with a snap under the hammer.

That's why you cut those off. They steal pocket knives and flashlights too.

Glad you know my work history though.

I forgot all cops are firearm professionals and gun slingers…. NOT. lol. Apparently they keep shooting themselves. Carrying a gun for work doesn't mean dick.

Yea that's not a thing when you're on duty. You need multiple levels of retention on that pistol for when you go hands on or when someone tries to defeat it and remove the weapon to hurt you or others.

Complacent, absent minded cops with a monopoly on violence... What's not to love?
Eh, so what's your take on the citizens having the same issues?

And... you keep coming up with responses that don't address the issue at hand. When your bias is showing, your case is weakened. But have at it; those with a modicum of critical thinking skills won't be convinced.
