Barrel is in great shape and has two boxes (40 rounds) through it.
This is the factory 18" 1:8 twist, 6.5 Creedmore barrel threaded for the Sig Cross.

How u like ur 8.6 i did same thing but with a 308 barrel

The 8.6 is fun. I went with an 8" 1:3 twist. If I did it again it would be a 1:5 twist for the accuracy gains that I'm reading about.

I am an avid reloader and have a few extremely accurate weapons. I can't get the 8.6 to shoot consistent sub 2" 100 yard groups using 3 different powders and 4 different bullets.

What has your experience been?

In the end, I'm pretty happy with the cartridge, see the image of a deer taken last year with it. The top dot has a 50/125 yard supersonic zero and the LPVO is second focal plane and zeroed at 100 yards.

Reloads cost ~$0.50 each but the round slaps steel and always puts a smile on people's faces.

I have only shot boxed ammo for it and it groups great with that ammo but super spendy I'd love to be able to relaod it just haven't gotten that far
