Thanks. Kind of pricey for a barrel though.

Agreed - it is a BarSto *shrug*

If you have a .40 already then it is pricey. If you are looking to convert from .357 then maybe be patient and keep your eyes open for a conversion kit with a threaded barrel - although right now, kits, threaded or not are not easily found.

EFK barrels are more affordable, but I don't see a threaded .40 listed. You could ping them and ask?

I think the .40 is a good candidate for a suppressor host - the standard 180 gr. loads are usually subsonic.

Alternatively you could get a threaded 9mm conversion barrel and shoot 147 gr subsonic. Not as good as .40 IMO, but you would have a 9mm barrel.

I have a .40 kit for my Mk25, but the only threaded SIG pistol I have is my 227 Tactical. I want to get some 9mm conversion barrels for my .40 S&W 226, 229 and 224 pistols, and they will probably be threaded.
