Shortening a revolver barrel

Anyone ever had a local gunsmith cut down a barrel and ejector rod housing on a revolver? Looking to have my single six .22 shortened to 3.75"

I've never heard of a single action revolver being cut back, so consider me intrigued and would like to see the results if any.

Our local expert is @Velzey he is out of Eatacada but services the area and he has an extensive knowledge of gunsmithing. His work is top notch.
