100 shots fired. Police request information.

"Officers responded to the carousel building at Salem's Riverfront Park around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning. According to witnesses, two groups of people got into a fight, and shots were fired from several different firearms. Police said multiple cars left the scene "

Drug dealer turf war?

From the article: "According to witnesses, two groups of people got into a fight, and shots were fired from several different firearms. Police said multiple cars left the scene."

:Credible messengers" and "peace walks" will stop gang violence. At least that's according to the consult from Oakland that the city hired to help solve the "gun violence" problem. I guarantee you, as soon as the word gets out that snitches get stitches, there won't be any more "credible messengers".

You know what would fix this:

Not to worry for those who live there. If they catch any of them they will lock them up for at least a few days. So all is well. They will also work on passing some more gun laws since they must not have any yet for this so far.

Salem is one of the cities in Oregon where you have to have a CHL to have a loaded long gun in the vehicle. They are already anti-gun.
Hell I would LOVE it if they would let me carry a loaded long gun here with my permit. Up until they finally take away our semi auto's its not much since slap a mag in and go. Still would love to have them just make the gun OK here loaded for those with the permit.

Local Loco Gangbangas, of which there are MANY! One of the nice things about getting the hell out of OryGun, No more Chicanos with their Rice Rockets and fart can exhaust running around with intentional bad tuning, so that they back fire intentionally, sounds like a damn war zone every friday nite!

That park area, just outside the downtown proper has always been a hot bed for crime, it's super easy to get to from both sides of the river, and it's also easy to hide, perfect for dealing, so,..............................

There have been several murders lately, especially near Salem Hospital/Bush Gardens, also a very well known area for criminal activities, Salem had better get it's sh!t together, it's starting to stink like PDX!

"Starting to stink like Portland" lol!

Those darn Amish at it again?
You ever seen a amish get away buggy? I worked in salem alot, I definitely had more dangerous encounters with the creatures that live there then the ones in the woods. I did lots of night work and it definitely gets weird! I always make sure pd new where I was and what I was doing so I didn't end up getting shot by a police officer

I went to S. Salem HS and later lived about 10 blocks away. Bush Park was mostly harmless then. Some kids would skip classes and smoke in the park, that was about it. But that was in the upper part of the park, not the lower part by the hospital where there was later a murder (?). It was popular with joggers. That was in the 70s - a good 50 years ago though. *sigh*
