I ordered four AR lowers and had them shipped to Tick Lickers in Salem. It's out of my way compared to my normal FFL (Tigard Pawn) but the price for transferring multiple items makes it worthwhile. It's a very laid back environment. I confirmed with them today that they are not overly concerned about time frames in regards to when you come in to fill out the 4473. At Tigard Pawn they want you in within 7 days or they start charging a fee by the day.
I explained to Tick Lickers that I was thinking about ordering more lowers and some frames from multiple companies and I wanted to do one 4473 for everything. They said no problem just let them know I have more items coming when they call about the arrival of the first items.
This could save me a bunch of money on transfer fees. They charge $45 total for the first three items and $5 for each additional item beyond that. If I had 10 items that would be $80.
At Tigard Pawn 10 items would cost me $165 in transfer fees plus any additional wait charges if all items didn't arrive within a 7 day period.
There was no wait today and I was able to bring the lowers home.
If the layaway Glock doesn't pan out I may just order some more frames and lowers.
