Can anyone who knows where this shooting pit area is put it on a map for us? I'm wondering if its the same place I've shot a few times or not...but I cannot locate it with the information they provide. thanks!

I think the place is near this 5-way pit. Not actually a pit, more like a hillside. I don't know where the other RD they're naming is, couldn't find it. The road off of 211 So of Estacada is Hillock Burn, which turns into the FS 45 at the MHNF boundary. There are a lot of places a person might shoot up in that area.

Yes. From my understanding this is where the shooting occured.

I belong to a long established range.
Stupid people are shooting later than they should be and it is endangering the success of the range.

Though the details of this circumstance are slim, why are people out shooting that close to dark?

Is it because the muzzle flash is so cool , like on the Inner Tube You web?

That younger folks are out engaging in those activities that late denotes to me the lack of knowledge of firearms and the basic

safety rules that should ALWAYS apply.

Apparently this one has gone cold.
I sometimes think about these people, probably picking up brass and gunned down for someone's twisted thrill.

When things like this are brought, from years ago, makes me wonder about the person knowing that he is a piece of bubblegum/feces. But I suppose, unless he/she is mentally deranged, and feels nothing?

I personally think it was an accident being how he was transported after the shooting in a very remote place. Seems like he wouldn't last with a head wound long enough for some random person to wander by and pick him up. Makes me think another shooter in his party or using same place at the same time transported him. But not enough info to go on.

This one is a known subject. While not in the news there is a warrant out for a guy that is believed to have left this part of the country for the east coast. The deceased were involved sexually with the killer. All druggies from the Estacada area. We went to a moderation with the guy, his brother and another teenager when they, with two young adults, trashed our place and stole a bunch of stuff many years ago. They all got busted and we got most of our stuff back, but the little muther f-er turned out to be a real POS.

The victims did look a little methy. Not discounting the heinousness of the crime, but it certainly becomes more understandable. I was thinking one guy shot in the woods leans toward accident or theft with disregard for life, but two deaths in the woods leans toward planned and by someone the victims know.
