I'm seeing these Hi Power clones on GB quite a bit. They're reasonably priced and come in various finishes. The blued / wood grips ones are of most interest:

I'm unclear if these are Turkish, Italian, or the gun is Turkish but the magazines are made by an Italian company.

Anyone have experience with these? Do they run on standard HP magazines?

Thanks!

They're made in Turkey, but no connection to Tisas. Do a search on Youtube. You should find several SHOT show video's on them…..

I been tempted to pick one up. Probably will at some point, just not a priority though.

Thanks for the info. I was kinda-sorta thinking of using one as a (relatively) "cheap thrills" stocked version, without butchering an original. And if it worked out, they are so inexpensive they could be a stashed / cached type of piece. (I've shot a fair number of FN and Argentinian HPs years ago, but don't have experience with the new ones or those from other nations like Hungary and Turkey.)

I dont have and SDS, but I have a couple of clones (FEG). The magazines on mine are all interchangeable with my browning. I can't see a performance difference in either. The Italy mags are likely mecgar. The SDS like the springfield appears to come factory with magazine disconnect. BUDS has SDS for $475 shipped. If I didn't have a clone it would be an easy choice. They have the MAC also imported by SDS for $433. SDS even has a case hardened one, which seems silly but it's growing on me.

Farting around SARCO's site today, I saw these for a c-note:

Tempting acquire one of these HP clones, Form 1, cut slot / engrave, and done.

The Inglis brand from SDS imports are made by Ozerbas in Turkey. They are accurate and so far reliable. They're direct clones of the Mark III, so they have a firing pin block but no magazine safety. I have a black one and a nickel one. You won't be disappointed. There's a whole series of deep dive rabbit hole videos on Youtube from BHSprings about these Turkish clones. If you get one, plan to swap out the recoil spring sooner than later.

Thanks for the notes. Some of the reviews I've seen have been pretty bad. Between that and occupied with other projects, as well as free tax stamps coming, I backburned this.
