Scappoose/St. Helen’s gun rental

Greetings,
I'm a veteran, new to this site and new to this group. I used to hunt and shoot when I was younger. I've wanted to purchase a new handgun. But I want to try before I buy. I've been trying to search for a gun rental place or shooting range in Scappoose/st. Helens area. The only places I have found is north Portland. Is there anywhere else closer? Thanks for your help.

Threat Dynamics in Sherwood, but it's not really closer. The Place to Shoot in Nopo requires that you bring a friend if you want to rent their guns.

I do not know of any gun rental places in St. Helens but there are a few dealers. The closest range is in Rainier.

Take the time and go to Safefire in Camas. It would definitely be worth the effort. They have maybe 30+ handguns in all the popular calibers.

+1 Safefire: Nice place to shoot and they give a veteran (active or retired) discount on your lane rental.

Look up clatskanie rifle range - every other weekend is a public weekend between 8:00AM to 2:00PM. They have a nice range but no gun rental.
