I love mine but it took 18 months to get a load where I wanted. It's at 1/2 at 100 yards now. Never another Remington for me. Savage is way better. This should be a superb rifle when your buyer works up a good load.

I haven't shot the 22.250 yet . But I just met a guy that's gonna take me sage rat hunting. I moved to Oragon a year and a half ago from Michigan , it's hard to make contacts out here

Well you just made one. Matt brown nice to meet you. If you need a third for sagerats let me know I got one down in Alturas at 450 yards with my 204. Couple shots but got him.

If I were you. I might rethink selling this. If you have a 22-250 you are going to use 40% more powder and get more kick with more expensive bullets. And if you want to use heavy pills to get out past 500, you need to have a 1-8 or faster (probably) twist. What is your twist? I think your 223 is going to be cheaper and more fun with a slow twist 22-250.

Your 204 is going to be cheaper and better to shoot recoil wife than either of the others.

All opinion of course but this is a really good sage rat rifle.

Beaverton. Are you a club member at a range yet? If you want to check out Tri county it would be fun to shoot sometime.

We can shoot to 300 or if you have 100 yard zero and good dope on your load and it's supersonic at 600, we shoot 600 on tuesday pm.

I'm michael brady, nice to meet you .
Not really sure about the twist I haven't even looked at the gun since I got it .
I haven't joined any club or anything . I did a little bow hunting for deer last fall but that's it
I did alot of fishing in Washington

Cool. There's public land to shoot but the clubs, and there's one in Salem or Albany that's quite good, are safer and more reliable as far as I'm concerned.

You can look up howa but if it's a 1500 varmint with factory barrel I find from google it is 1/14 which is slow. Great for 52-65 free or so. Maybe 69 smk. Recipes I find are h4350 and 55gr AMAX. you could get 4000 god with that but 40% more powder than 204 as I mentioned.

I have always wanted a 1-8 22-250. I had a slow twist (1/12) Savage mod 12 and swapped barrels for a 260ai so currently I have no 22-250 but I intend to at some point. It is a great round but under 500 yards I like to shoot more for cheaper. 223 is amazing at that range along with 204.
