I think you are confusing "fluting" with magnaporting.

Flutes are what is on the cylinder of this revolver, the muzzle break/porting I think is what you are trying to describe on the barrel. Looks like Magna Porting to me, don't know for sure though....

Yes, you are correct and I changed it out. thanks.

Looks like a 2.5 barrel. You need to measure from the front of the cylinder to the end of the barrel. Very nice gun.
