Base upon your 71000 + serial number this revolver was made in 1955. The serial number range for that year was 55050-75000 It is a 5 screw, since it still has the
upper side plate screw. In 1955 that screw was eliminated and all HE's became 4 screw thru 1961.

The grips are not original to the gun. Back in 1955 the grips would have had a diamond around the escutcheon. That diamond was eliminated sometime in 1966-1967. Looks like a good quality shooter that's been used but not abused.
