Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous example of what a true 44 magnum revolver is supposed to be.

This is the S&W 29-2. 6" barrel with the 3 T's….. Target Hammer, Target Trigger, Target Sights, (Red Ramp and White Outline Adjustable Rear). The stocks are target stocks too. The serial number puts it at 1980.

If I had to honest-eval it, I'd say she was 95%+. There is a slight little scrape on the front of the barrel (as shown in a pict), there is the usual drag mark on the cylinder.

I bought it from a co-worker who needed some $$$ about 4 years ago. He told me that he bought it brand new and only put "about a box and a half" through it, then put it in the safe. I HAVE NOT had the pleasure of shooting it in the time that I have owned it. It has just sat in the safe, so it's time to let it go.

The first owner told me "I didn't buy it so I could store the box and crap! I threw that sh_t away as soon as I got it home". Unfortunately this comes as-is…. Pistol only.

Really? I will have to re-verify and possibly update the post! I will measure tonight.

I know the serial number puts it at 1980.

I assume they refer to it as their 6" barrel.

With S&w revolvers you measure from the end of the barrel to the front edge of the cylinder , so thus it's a 6in . No matter what , it's a beautiful m29 .
