I honestly don't know it is very strange my guess is some kind of kostic solvent or something like that. It was like that when I got itHow in the world did that gun lose its bluing like that?
I have a Smith and Wesson model 1905 M&P 4th change in 38 special. Cylinder to frame lock up is good and tight and the cylinder timing is perfect. has Original grips and still has its lanyard loop! has a couple of holes in the bluing but no rust. Measures 6inches from tip of barrel to the cone. Based on serial number Im guessing it was made in the 1930s don't have an aproximate date. very nice piece of history. in no real hurry to sell or trade would like to see whats out there. Cash price is 425$ obo trade 625$ you can email me on here or text or call 541 four three zero 1144 I'm in Sutherlin/Roseburg
Good trades
Like other smith revolvers, bolt guns, nice optics. must be firearm related though
