Smith & Wesson 125th Anniversary .45 Colt Model 25-3 Revolver. There were only 9,948 of these models which were all made in 1977. The left side of the 6.5" inch barrel is marked .45 CALIBER and the right side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON / 125TH ANNIVERSARY". The yoke cut is marked "S&W0758 / MOD.25-3. The right side-plate is marked with an S&W logo which has "SMITH & WESSON / 1852-1977" above it and "125 YEARS" below it. The right side of the frame has the four line "Marcas Registradas" address. The barrel has a serrated ramp front sight with a red insert that is coupled with a white outlined, click adjustable, micrometer rear sight. The grips are Goncalo Alves target grips with silver-colored S&W logo medallions. The grain on the bottom of the grips was matched and 'book-ended". There is a blue "velvet" lined, rosewood-stained, mahogany presentation case with a rectangular gold colored metal insert on the top. The inscription on the insert reads "Smith & Wesson / 125th Anniversary Commemorative / 18522 – 1977". There is a pewter-colored "coin" with a likeness of Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson on one side and the same S&W logo that has been described on the side-plate. Contained in the lid, and held in by leather straps, is a book by Roy G. Jenks "125 Years with Smith & Wesson". Caliber/ Gauge: .45 Long Colt; There is an extremely fine light cylinder turn line.
