Yep - 4" Smith K or L frames are pretty dang hard to beat.

The larger "N' frame takes a bit of that nice balance away in a 4" but in 6" it all comes back !

if the N frame is like Ruger's Redhawk, I agree

our old Redhawk has a 5.5" bbl and balances naturally in your hand

but the only time I pull out the Redhawk .44 mag is when that nasty tempered Sasquatch come up out of the back forest
