5,5" barrel, 6 shooter.

I had this revolver for a few years but only shot around 20 rounds.
It was supposed to be a bear revolver but it's way too heavy to hike with.

I am trying to trade it for a smaller/lighter revolver with the same caliber.
So 44 would be my preference but I would also consider classic S&W in 357.

Is that deep scratches on the barrel?

There is one visible scratch on the left side but what you are seeing is mostly the finish of the revolver.
It does have a "brushed steel" look.

Upon closer inspection, yes there are scratches on both sides of the barrel.
They are not deep but they are there.
I guess from the way I carried it with the Gunfighters Kenai holster, which has the barrel exposed on the chest so it rubbed against other surfaces.
Not your safe queen type of revolver.

Scratches came off after a light polish.

I matched the "brushed" finish on a ruger p series slide with 400 grit wet or dry paper and a bit of oil. Looked perfect.
