Great little pistols, I have had a bull barrel 22/45 in the Mark II for many years. Very accurate and reliable.

I like a irons, red-dot (Aimpoint Micro sized...like the Konus Atomic), or a 2x pistol scope. I've tried a 4x, and it's almost too much magnification for a pistol.

I've got old 55 y/o eyes.
I have a 4x scope on my GSG5 and love it.
Had a Chinese 'RED DOT' on it and was oly a 'fair' shot. Now that I can see what I'm shooting at, "Targets Fear Me"!
So, I'm think'in a 2x pistol scope would be of benifit to me.

The open sites are pretty good on the Rugers, lots of light space so they are easy to use, even with marginal eyesight.

If you are going to put a scope or red dot on the Ruger I suggest you go for the Target model with the longer slab side barrel. Its killer!

Mine too has adjustable rear site, and fixed front.
I'm considering a Scope.
