Went to the doc. Couldn't get my tooth numb after three large injections. Blow a little cold air over it, and it would get touchy. Plus the clamp they use hurt like the dickens! Don't remember that happening ever.

So, no go. Heading off to a dentist that will knock my *** out. HECK YEAH.

After pulling teeth, do you fill in with something? They told me the top ones will start to slither down and stuff over time, eventually falling out.

First suggestion, go to a endodontist (root canal specialist). DO NOT LET YOUR REGULAR DENTIST DO IT. My first (and so far only) root canal was first attempted by a dentist. After 5 injections and agonizing pain, I told him to stop and got up and left the office, never to return. Went to a endontist at Gentle Dental (Beaverton), one shot in the jaw, then one right in the tooth and never felt another thing.

However, after becoming aware of all the stages of root canal, temp, crown fitting, wait, etc. I should have had them yank it out. If they had been honest and up front with me about how many visits it would take, I wouldn't have gone down this road. Every visit it was "oh well one more appointment and we're done." BS
