Hello everyone! I have a Romeo 5 red dot never been fired with, I purchased it as a back up and threw it on my Marlin 30-30. I like the idea of a red dot on the brush gun but I'm looking for something smaller and open. What are you thoughts? Thanks for your time.

My thoughts are that that marlin is freakin' sweet!
Also for a brush gun in the PNW optics are a issue in the rain, but if I were to set it up with an optic I would use exactly the setup you have, easier to wipe the lenses clean when the rain inevitably hits vs a sunken glass like a holosun or rmr

For a brush gun I would want an enclosed optic. I have a Romeo 5 for just that.
I like my open optics on my pistols but they definitely require regular cleaning.
