The previous dye job; some ugly blueish shade of Hunterish Green
The after, Rit Dye-More Synthetic Chocolate Brown; apparently if you dye it after the previous dye had dried/set, it doesn't mix nor tint the colors but replaced the color wholly. No hint of the green anywhere I could see on the outside. May have to take new pictures under the sun to see if there's actually any green tint to it.
Nearly boiling water, a whole bottle of the dye, 11 inch stainless steel pan, a decent amount of white distilled vinegar.
With the Galco brown holster, the combo looks pretty good. Not sure if I still want to darken the slide or just get it Cerakoted a shade of Earth or Olive...as it now looks more... "Conventional" (light slide, dark frame). In low light/shadows, the frame looks Black-ish.
