Absolutely. Hardest working man in baseball. All natural and still unbeaten.

RIP Mr. Rose.

I still remember the Big Red Machine.

An amazing player. From Wikipedia:

Rose was a switch hitter, and is MLB's all-time leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215) and outs (10,328).[1] He won three World Series championships, three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Glove Awards, and the Rookie of the Year Award. He made 17 All-Star appearances in an unequaled five positions (second baseman, left fielder, right fielder, third baseman, and first baseman). He won two Gold Glove awards when he was an outfielder, in 1969 and 1970.

When I was a kid...we would go games and watch The Big Red Machine in action.
Pete Rose was a excellent ball player...and always played to win.
Met him once when I was young...nice guy to fans...loved baseball for sure.

Banning Rose from baseball was akin to "cruel and unusual punishment."...at least in my view.

Loved, Charlie Hustle, it really boils my blood that MLB has hopped in bed with gambling and parlays but they won't let Pete in the HOF?

Total hypocritical BS!!!

I heard, when he would answer the phone he would say "Hit King" lol.

RIP Pete Rose.

I hope.. whenever the vets committee gets to vote again. O'l Pete and Shoeless Joe can get their place in the Hall. both deserve it .

Yup for sure, just like the NFL now seems like almost all of their ads are related to online gambling now.

The board of the HOF are tough nuts to crack. Mantle was disqualified temporarily when he signed autographs at a Vegas casino.

Cooperstown and MLB are separate entities, MLB doesn't decide who makes it to the HOF (although they work very closely together, obviously).

Pete was his own worst enemy. Bud and Cooperstown gave him a chance, but Pete immediately started gambling again despite the warnings.
