RIP Big Daddy

Dang, hadn't heard. RIP Mr Lean Mean Fat Grillin Machine! We really enjoyed watching him in the series, Better Late Than Never. Freakin funny group of guys.

I saw that this evening. Obviously didn't know the man personally but, he did have a great TV personality! RIP.

I always liked George.

I also had one of his electric grills, it was my gateway to bigger gas grills. At some point I wanted seared meat more than convenience. My gas grill might turn out to be a gateway to an offset smoker.

With one of George's grills it only takes a few over cooked steaks to realize that you're cooking both sides at the same time. :(

Heard it from a friend.

I'm sure his grill endeavors rewarded him handsomely for his philanthropy.
We've had two GF grills, a smaller size more recent and the largest one from many years ago. We were gifted a GF Quesadilla grill by my sister a while back and still use it quite a bit.

Seemed a little young to be passing on already. Though that's the way it goes. When I hear/read of all he accomplished in his life, I have to smile. And even chuckle when I hear how many of those grills he sold! He knew how to sell 'em though!
They're still a fairly common item to see on the shelves of the thrift stores. If a person had never tried them!
