Oh YEAH! One of the places we found to get Fish & Chips when we moved here in 1983. That was when it was on 39th just north of Powell. East side. They had moved down to 12th ave some 22 years ago, and then got ran out by criminals when the city allowed this formerly great city to crumble in a lot of places.I don't think anyone has mentioned the old Jolly Rogers on 39th and Powell.

The Drive Thru lines in Keizer can be beaten by going inside. There's usually very good parking in their parking lot with easy access, UNLIKE the incredible LINES.

I miss the Burgerville that once was. I know others have said the same thing. I used to live and work in Beaverton (OR) and would stop regularly at the one not too far from Bob Lanphere's Honda dealership. Two regular Burgers, extra sauce, 1 french fry, 1 shake (I varied the flavors each time in). Miss those times.
Just thinking. I remember the 19 cent burgers at Bob's in Salem. Maybe I thought they were good because I was only 16. But what I was thinking is: "How many Bob's 19 cent burgers can you get for $18? " You know I can't find a restaurant (not fast food) that offers a burger for less that about $15. You know I'm O-L-D, but I'm NOT rich, and I live on approximately 1.25% annual increase in income sooo ....
Good to know thx! I don't know if I've ever been to Florence. I like Newport so much I never go south of there.Florence OR has one that still utilizes the menu on the poll and intercom ordering. Pluss inside seating.

My wife and I go to our local A&W about once a week. We typically get one of the following: Fish & Chips, Shrimp & Chips, or Chili Cheese Fries.
When I was a kid the Lettuce Inn down in Sutherlin had burgers 4/$1 (yeah, I'm old too). LOL
That sounds a lot like the Sunrise Cafe in Pleasant Hill, but I haven't been there for years. Last time I was there, it was so good, but seemed like the portions were way too big and it was the kind of chow you could gain weight just looking at it. I avoid the place because I don't need the calories.

Florence is just a small Newport. Minus the incessant barking seals. But Florence had been going to the woke. Been taken over by people from that valley. We had vacationed there since 1998 up until a couple years ago when the woke took over our place were we stayed every year. And turned 8 of the 9 units in to low rent housing. The city messed up the downtown area with eateries taking over parking on Main Street. A woke mayor and terrible drivers from the Valley. I do still have feelings for the time we spent on the area lakes fishing.
The Sunrise Cafe is good but crowded. Adies in Springfield is the same. There used to be two in Creswell, Mom's snack Shack and the Rocket Inn.
