No. The "870 Synthetic" is based on the 870 Express platform. The Police is based on the 870 Wingmaster platform. The Express is the much cheaper, and more cheaply built gun.

That's particularly nice looking wood for a police gun. Looks like real Walnut, not the stained Birch they put on the Express guns.
