I have one of these that I've shot tiny little Sitka black tail deer, elk and a couple 1200lb Yakutat moose with all very effectively. That 30.06 round can be as light or heavy as you need it. Put 1000's of rounds through mine it without a hiccup. Great gun when in dense brush as well because it's short and I always felt better hunting Kodiak knowing that if a brownie charged I could spin around and get off rounds as fast as I could pull the trigger. And once you're out of rounds, it's a perfect size to flip around and use as a club..... GLWS

It is funny how words change over the years. What we call magazines now were clips years ago. Clips went into the magazine of a rifle. I know, I am old.
I have two of those rifles.
