Bought this gun in January, put a base on it and in the safe it has sat. This gun has ZERO rounds through it besides what the factory shot.

This is a Remington 700 SPS "Tactical" with factory Varmint stock in .308win. The gun has a 0MOA Tactical Precision base installed.

Why does it have the varmit stock and not the houge stock that the tactical version comes with?

It was a special run made by Remington, the only reason I can think is they were out of hogue's.

This stock is actually stiffer and has the extra stud for bipod and sling use.
