Remington 700 ADL

I purchased a really nice Remington 700 ADL in 308 with a 20" barrel. Has the old remington sights and wood stock.
I am trying to find some details like when it was manufactured. The serial number is six digits and starts 1010XX.
Can anyone provide details on when this rifle was manufactured - there is no letter in the serial number. Are remington 700 with 20" barrels common.

The type of stock and metal finish will help narrow it down some, the ADL was the basic classic in the series, followed by the BDL and the lux CDL!

Based on the chracters on the barrel I beleive it was manufactured in April of 1968.
