A lot of the problem for my condition (Borderline hoarder/Collector of stuff/too lazy to sell it) is, a lot of it is not worth much.
3 sets of RCBS dies in chamberings I no longer own arms for.
Half bag of Winchester red wads (1 1/4-1 1/2 oz 12 ga loads)
Assorted partial boxes of bullets
Old brass/ammo (some primed/loaded)
Some primers
A few pounds of RL22, 4350, 4064 yada yada (Not using it anymore)
You get the idea

None of it is worth much in itself.

Unless I have a big outdoor garage sale, it aint worth my time to sell a set of dies for 15 bucks, then meet up- or package and ship. So it sits in the garage.

Giveaways have worked for me... if family don't want it, then friends might... if not friends, then somebody else. The point is to get it gone!!!

I have a similar problem on a larger scale. Some old tractors and some old machine tools, etc. Good stuff but buyers for that sort of thing aren't always easy to find. And it's too good to just scrap out (which would be no small task either).

Oh, I don't know.... a buddy had an old D6 Caterpillar Dozer that hadn't run in many years. The local scrap metal salvage yard came out, loaded it on a trailer, weighed it, then gave him mucho dinero... and he didn't have to mess with any of it!!!

A few years ago scrap was at its peak a few guys sold old cats for more than they bought
Them for .

A 20-25 ton machine might get that sort of attention from a scrapper. 2-3000 lb machine not so much. Plus, I'm not fond of scrapping a useful machine or a restorable antique tractor

Large amount gets a better price .the good stuff was about 400 a ton for awhile last I was told it has dived . those prices did cause the demise of a lot of antique equipment. And of coarse theft was through the roof .

Some years back we were trying to get rid of an old Northwest dragline. When they sold the farm it had to go. He sold it to an acquaintance who really only wanted the bucket and attachments. He took what he wanted and left the old rusting hulk of a machine. We tried to contact him to get him to come haul it off but he never responded.

Finally my dad sent him a certified letter saying that if he didn't get it before a certain date it was considered abandoned. Then he called a scrapper who hauled it off, and paid him about double what the other guy had paid!
