The Red Baron reminds me that I am related to one of these guys through my wife.
Her Nana was German and was with a man named Alfred Druschel a WW2 pilot.
He was apparently a fancy pants pilot with 7 air victories with over 800 missions.
Old boy has a Wiki page and everything.
Alfred-o was missing in action after picking on the Americans....

Nana had some good stories from her younger days in Germany during the war.
She had to carry papers with her and was stopped frequently.
One time she was helping some people out of a damaged building when a potato masher came in through the window.
She quickly snapped it up and sent it back out the window...

My dad would crank the 8 track up with this stuff in the car and sing right along to it.
I found and bought the CD for my older brother as a gag.
Turns out we both listened to the stupid thing too....
