I'm another that would suggest a revolver for a pocket gun. Especially a bobbed hammer hammerless, or concealed hammer. the shape of these blend well with the hand in a firing grip. If you are shooting a spur hammer gun you just need to draw with your thumb covering the hammer spur.
The revolver will blend better in your pocket, and less likely to be seen as a gun in your pants.

I own a bobbed hammer, Ruger SP101, and if I tried to pocket carry it...my pants would on my shoes.

While rugged and reliable, it's way, way, way too heavy.

This one is just fine in a pocket.

I for many years tried several for pocket carry. Until KT came along I always gave up. Always felt like I had a rock in my pocket. Only thing that worked was a NAA .22. Not much but at least I could forget it was there.

Heres what I use. A S&W .38 SPL +P airweight or a G43 with a sticky holster. This was recommended in firearms classes I took. I dont know if something works better than this nowadays but I know this works.

This holster is a old crossfire pocket holster that is sticky material on outside and smooth on the inside so that when you draw it the holster doesnt come out of the pocket. It stays in the pocket. Practice drawing with your pocket holster because alot of pocket holsters will come out of your pocket still attached to the gun. You will feel dumb when you draw it and the holster is still on. You dont have to get this one but I recommend a sticky outside smooth inside for a pocket holster.

Both pistols dont have a hammer that will snag on your pants pocket opening when you draw it.

I like this setup because you can have your hand on the gun in your pocket and already halfway drawn. So you are already halfway through step 2 of the 4 step drawstroke. Its not a fair fight.

Hi all!

I'm new here. J&B FIrearms and A Cut Above Pawn both recommended I go here to try to sell my Ruger 22/45.
I told myself I should sell a gun before buying another one. A trade will do just fine.

I also have a JA-22 as a collectors item. I was hoping to carry it, but second day on the range it went full auto on me and fired once when I was racking it. Not something I want to carry +1 with. Also, 22LR does not seem to be that reliable...

I'm searching for a reliable, safe pocket pistol that uses ammo that's not too pricey. I'm a thin guy so I want something that wont be too bulky.
I am curious about the Glock 43 but it's too big for me still. Bodygaurd 2.0 is a comfortable size but I'm not sure if I want to go .380. I'm hoping to go 9mm for price (I will be practicing).

Does anyone have recommendations?
Attached a photo of my JA if you find it interesting. It's not too bad.

I like the Colt mustang in 380 for pocket carry

I carry 2-Ruger LCP Max pistols in .380, and a S&W M&P-30 Shield Plus. The LCP max is a great upgrade from the old LCP - aside from holding more rounds, the trigger is MUCH better, and it actually has sight (front night sights). The Shield Plus isn't really a pocket pistol, as it's about the size of a P365.

My has a hammer, but is 'spurless'.

I'll never buy another 'spurless' revolver or anything 'spurless' for that matter...

DAO's aren't for me.
