Recommendations for 1911 Wildbunch Holster

Suprising fact, a 1911 fits very nicely in a SAA holster and would likely be period correct, and I would even bet that at least one of the people in the film was kitted out that way

Very nice holster and belt but $580.00 – $850.00 ??

I'll bet if ya hit pawn shops, thrift stores or look around you could find something similar (maybe older) and a belt as well for a WHOLE LOT LESS. Maybe not as 'showy' as that rig but with a little work ya might be able to make a belt/holster combo that would work just as well, but who am I to say ? I am a 'cheepee' who ALSO likes to mess with leather and have MODIFIED many holsters for guns over my 'life'.

Here is an 'old' holster for a Mod 39 S & W I reshaped and fitted for my CZ 75 BD.

That will not work for Wild Bunch Shooting, you can't have anything covering the hammer, but it's not a draw from the holster game and the 1911 needs to be hammer down on an empty chamber so not really an issue

Well neither will a CZ however IF I WAS planning on 'Wild Bunch Shooting' with a 1911 I would similarly make something of my own. But then having some 'experience' with SASS 'aficionados' in the past cost is NOT an issue for many of them....
